Founders Story
Shawn Weir, CEO of Good Vibez Only, LLC. & the Founder of House of Vibez, INC., is a passionate advocate for mental health who has translated his commitment into creating meaningful change through the non-profit sector. Born and raised in South Jamaica, Queens, and a first-generation American, Shawn's personal struggles with depression and anxiety propelled him to establish House of Vibez, INC. His journey is marked by a deep understanding of the urgent need for mental health resources, particularly in underserved urban communities.
Who do we serve ?
Our primary focus is on young adults, aged 14 to 25, residing in underserved urban communities. This demographic is particularly vulnerable due to the intersection of life transitions and the lack of accessible mental health resources. Our target population includes those facing socio-economic disparities, first-generation Americans, and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds who may encounter additional challenges in accessing relevant support.
OUR WORK
We have a yearly Mental Health Expo; a day filled with fun, vibes, and invaluable insights into cultivating a healthier mental lifestyle! This transformative event brings together young adults for a day of inspiration and empowerment.
Beyond the expo, our ultimate goal is to establish a Youth Creative Community Center. This envisioned space will empower young minds to explore their creativity while learning essential skills for better mental living. The Mental Health Expo is a stepping stone towards creating a supportive environment where youth can thrive mentally and creatively.
